The Zagato-penned and developed Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa was finally revealed in a world premiere at this past weekend's prestigious Villa D'Este Concours.
As Zagato pointed out, the car is not a design exercise but a one off racing special that was commissioned by German collector Martin Kapp who owns, among other Alfa Romeos, an SZ coda tonda and SZ coda tronca, TZ, and TZ2, Junior Z and S.Z.
Inspired by its 1960s predecessors, the original Alfa TZ and TZ2, the TZ3 Corsa is based on a mono shell carbon fibre tubular chassis, coupled with a tubular frame and a lightweight aluminum body.
Power comes from the Alfa 8c Competizione's 4.2-liter V8 engine that develops 420-horsepower. According to Zagato, the racing car tips the scales at 850kg or 1,874 lbs, and is capable of accelerating from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in under 3.5 seconds while reaching a top speed in excess of 300km/h or 187mph.

Peugeot 3008 Crossover Wallpaper
The Peugeot 3008 is a crossover vehicle that has a combination of qualities that are usually deemed incompatible, such as driving pleasure inside a “tall” vehicle, etc. It says the 3008 is a fusion between a SUV, an MPV and a hatchback.
Under the hood are a range of both petrol and diesel engines, with the petrol units as expected being from the Prince family co-developed with BMW. The 1.6 VTi is available in 120hp and 160Nm form with a 5-speed manual, while the 1.6 THP comes in two slightly different variants. One is a 150hp, 240Nm version with a 6-speed manual that puts out 176g/km of CO2 while the other is a more powerful yet less polluting 156hp and 240Nm Euro 5-compliant version that puts out only 170g/km of CO2.
The diesel versions are from the HDi FAP range with either 1.6 liter or 2.0 liter displacements and outputs ranging from as low as 110hp and 240Nm with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automated manual (AMT) to a 2.0 liter with 163hp and 340Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
While these regular engines are available from various times this year onwards, from the year 2011 onwards, the 3008 will be equipped with Peugeot’s HYbrid4 technology which uses a diesel engine to power the front wheels but goes into all-wheel drive mode with an electric motor powering the rear wheels. The HYbrid4 can also turn the vehicle into a rear wheel drive vehicle in an all-electric mode with zero emissions.

Just days after launching the brand new Accent in Beijing Hyundai has now unveiled the latest generation Avante or Elantra at the Busan International Motor Show in Korea. Just like other latest offerings from Hyundai the Avante has received the company’s “fluidic sculpture” design language and it looks very good! Definitely much better than the outgoing one.
Among others the new Avante comes with features such as HID headlights, LED taillights along with a TFT LCD information display screen in the instrument panel. It even has heated rear seats.
According to the rather short press release power comes from the company’s latest 1.6 liter Gamma gasoline engine with direct injection. Power output is figured at 138hp while offering 166Nm of torque. This engine also features Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing and a Variable Induction System.
"The new Avante encompasses Hyundai's latest ambitions, featuring the best styling and performance in its class," Steve S. Yang, President & CEO of Hyundai's Global Business Division, said at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) today. "We're confident that it will once again redefine the compact segment worldwide."
It is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission which makes this Hyundai’s first GDI engine that is paired with a 6-speeder on a compact sedan.

The 2010 Subaru Legacy made its debut during the 2009 New York Motor Show which is a toned down version of the 'Legacy Concept' in Detroit.
The 2010 Legacy is built on a new, larger platform that promises to offer increased room and comfort while preserving the previous model's driving dynamics. The new Legacy is 3.2-in. higher, 1.4-in. longer and 3.6-in. wider than the previous model while the wheelbase grows to 108.3-in., a 3.2-in. increase over the previous model. According to Subaru, the 2010 Legacy provides nearly four inches of additional rear legroom for passengers while the trunk volume has grown from 11.4 to 14.7 cu.ft.
Under the hood, the 2010 Legacy will be offered in the States with three new or revised engines, all combined with Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. The entry level 2.5i model is powered by an updated 2.5-liter normally aspirated four-cylinder boxer that delivers 170HP at 5,600 rpm and 170 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine is matted to a new standard 6-speed manual transmission or the new Lineartronic CVT.
Up next is the 2.5GT models that come with a revised 2.5-liter turbocharged four-pot boxer (based on the Impreza WRX engine) teamed to a new standard 6-speed manual transmission. that is more than 50 pounds lighter than the 6-speed unit used in the 2009 Legacy 2.5GT spec.B. The turbo unit produces 265HP and 258 lb.-ft. of peak torque (compared to 243 hp and 241 lb.-ft. in the previous 2.5GT models) allowing the 2.5GT to accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96km/h) in under six seconds.
Finally we have the new Legacy 3.6R model powered by a new 3.6-liter H6 engine that replaces the previous 3.0-liter H6. The 3.6-liter boxer engine produces 256HP and 247 lb.-ft. of peak torque, compared to 245 hp and 215 lb.-ft. of torque for the previous 3.0-liter unit. This engine is hooked up to a five-speed automatic transmission.

So what is new for the Subaru outback 2010 edition other than the its external design? First n foremost the 2010 Subaru Outback sits on a 2.8 inch longer wheelbase, now 107.9 inches, while its also four inches taller and two inches wider than the previous model. However, due to the shorter front and rear overhangs, 2010 Outback is almost one inch shorter than its predecessor. Subaru supports that total passenger room is increased by 8 cubic feet, now 105.4 cu. ft., and maximum cargo capacity (with the standard 60/40 split rear seatbacks folded) is up by 6 cubic feet to 71.3 cu. ft.
The 2010MY Outback will be offered in the States with two engines, the revised 2.5-liter 4-cylinder Boxer that delivers 170HP at 5,600 rpm and 170 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 4,000 rpm and a new 3.6-liter six-cylinder Boxer producing 256HP and 247 lb.-ft. of peak torque. The 2.5L unit comes with a new standard 6-speed manual transmission, or the available Lineartronic CVT while the 3.6L Boxer is teamed with a 5-speed electronic automatic transmission.
All in all, Subaru offers three different Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive systems in the 2010 Outback line. The 2.5i models with a manual gearbox use a viscous-coupling locking center differential to distribute power 50/50 front to rear while the 2.5i with the CVT makes use of an electronically managed continuously variable transfer clutch. As for the range-topping Outback 3.6R, it is fitted with a Variable Torque Distribution (VTD) All-Wheel Drive system that normally sends more power to the rear wheels, continuously adjusting power distribution.

First announced at the 2006 Paris Motor Show as the Concept 200EX, the Rolls Royce Ghost is the smaller brother of the Phantom.
The Ghost's exterior styling is clearly influenced by the Phantom featuring similar details such as the front-end design and the rear-hinged coach doors that open to a generous 83 degrees, with the overall look being slightly softer and more rounded than that of the larger Rolls.
Buyers will be able to opt for a contrasting Silver Satin finish for the bonnet, grille and windscreen surround, as seen on the 200EX concept.
Not surprisingly, the Phantom also inspired the Ghost's interior styling that features a similar dashboard layout and all the "usual" luxury amenities and high quality materials expected from a car with a six-figure price tag. Individual lounge seating is offered as an alternative to the standard lounge configuration, which allows the addition of a massage function and also perforated leather for a cooling stream of air from the seat surface.
Rolls Royce says that while Ghost is over 400mm (16-in.) shorter overall than the Phantom saloon its interior space is comparable.
Underneath the sheetmetal, the Ghost's underpinnings borrow heavily from the long-wheelbase BMW 7-Series, meaning that the baby Rolls ditches the Phantom's aluminum spaceframe construction for a steel monocoque body.
The Ghost rides on a double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension that work in conjunction with a high-tech, four-cornered air-suspension system and electronic variable damping. The company claims that the new air suspension system is so sensitive that it can detect even the movement of a single rear passenger from one side of the seat to the other and compensate accordingly. The system also incorporates a lift and kneel function, raising or lowering Ghost by 25mm.
"Our challenge," says Engineering Director Helmut Riedl, "has been to preserve the prerequisite levels of comfort while delivering the most modern, dynamically interesting drive ever in a Rolls-Royce."
As expected, the Ghost also gets all sorts of electronic aids that include Anti-Roll Stabilization, Dynamic Brake Control and Dynamic Stability Control, including Dynamic Traction Control and Cornering Brake Control.
Motivating the 5,399mm / 212.2-in. long and 2,435kg / 5.368 behemoth is a brand-new 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine with direct injection that makes 570 horsepower at 5,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 780Nm or 575 lb-ft at just 1,500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear-wheels through an eight-speed, shift-by-wire, automatic ZF gearbox.
The Ghost is said to accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 4.9 sec (0-60mph: 4.7 sec) and go on to an electronically governed top speed of 250km/h or 155mph while returning an average fuel consumption of 13.6 lt /100 km (17.3 mpg US or 20.8 mpg UK) and emitting 317g/km of CO2.
